Zoom is an excellent tool that allows you to participate in a video meeting anywhere, a classroom, your living room or your dining room. The downside of a video meeting from anywhere is that your physical space may be infiltrated by random people, maybe curious children as Robert E. Kelly of Pusan National University in South Korea famously experienced!
Zoom has a function that allows you to replace your actual living room with a virtual background. The virtual background feature allows you to display an image as your background during a Zoom Meeting.
- When you are inside a meeting, click on the “^” icon next to the video icon and select “Video Settings…”.
- Click “Virtual Background” on the left-hand-side menu bar, then click “+” icon and select “Add Image” from the “Choose Virtual Background” field to add our Faculty image.
- (Optional) If the image is mirrored, then check the “Mirror my video” at the bottom. Please note that you can enable “mirror effect” from the video setting. The Mirror my video function is enabled depended on your Zoom version.
